Barbara. Well, this is dark. Chris did it all by himself. 
 
Chris. I need closure, dammit.
          Ben Riley took a brief sabbatical in July 2007, and then played 52 pickup with his long-running psychological fantasy, The Midlands— the dust has yet to clear, but he's already reshaped his continents, and his characters, declaring: "The Midlands has been going for like a million years, and now suddenly it's just... stopped. But it's not quite like that. Heliothaumic is what I think The Midlands ought to have been, but wasn't because it was laden with dumb ideas and plotlines that seemed rad when I was in middleschool."
          No-o-ot so fast, buster. You don't build up a plot of entire nations vanishing suddenly and then just up and... vanish suddenly. Hopefully, the episode above shows that even the most tangled webs can be unravelled and reknit seamlessly in five panels.
          Any wanderers onto our little site in the wastelands had now better get on over to his reboot story Heliothaumic, because he updates a lot more often than we do, and it's said he has a fresh supply of uncontaminated water.
